Job Description
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products within the facility. This role supports production, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of goods.
This position is Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Pay: $21.40/hour
Responsibilities / Duties
- Safely load, unload, and move materials and products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Stage materials for production or shipment according to specifications.
- Store received materials in designated locations.
- Follow all company safety policy and procedures, including proper use of PPE and equipment.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
- Possess a high attention to detail
- Willingness to be cross trained in other warehouse duties
- Previous experience in warehouse setting required
- Previous forklift operation experience required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs regularly
- Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
